Christian Response to a Changing Economy with Cindy Coe
Christian Educator Cindy Coe helps us gain insight on what Holy Scripture says to us about the economy. The Sayings of Jesus by RaRa Schlitt Folk Artist and Spiritual Director RaRa Schlitt joins us again, this time to help us ponder some of Jesus’ words as we draw near to the season of Advent. The Young Families’ Class continues with an Advent Series entitled “Mary,” which takes a look at Mary’s story through both modern and traditional viewpoints. Father Calhoun leads this class. The Lectionary Class continues with a look at the weekly readings. Movie Class each Thursday: Meets each Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Henslee Hall.
Different movies are shown each Thursday - each with a religious theme - and the group has a brief discussion after each movie. This is an enjoyable class with popcorn and Cokes. Each movie is independent from the others, so it is okay to miss classes or just attend movies sporadically. Just show up when possible. Parishioners are asked to invite friends and associates.
Kerygma A thematic Bible study open to adults on Wednesday evening. Most courses are 14 weeks with two seven-week semesters. The goal is to break prior to Advent for the first semester, and complete the study prior to Lent. Tuesday Bible Study Rector or Assistant Rector teach this study following the 10a.m. Healing Service on Tuesdays.
